Just bought this restomod harness from lgaff. Trying to identify this box. Has three small gauge wires coming out.

I would guess it's the defeat for the resistor pellet in the key. Quite a few conversion harnesses came with a similar box. Could tell for sure by tracing the wires back to the Ecm connector. Wish this harness was available when I started my project!

In his "for sale" the image seems to show it "connected" so you would follow those wires to the appropriate pin of the ECM and ID those pins. I wouldn't think it that difficult.

The wires needed to be terminated somewhere in the harness, I doubt it was just a supplied "loose part".

Not that difficult if I want to cut all the heat shrink and wrap off the harness. Which I may have to do, but I figured I'd ask first.

I would see if its for the gauges first

Looks like B10 ignition feed, D7 VATS, and a ground.

D7 I'd think more appropriately determined to be FUEL ENABLE - but it seems to interpret the "unknown device's" function or maybe "intended function" and the B10 is actually in OE from the ECM fuse I believe. That doesn't seem to have taken very long and I doubt difficult.

Yeah, I cut back about 12 inches of the heat shrink on the harness.

This would confirm that it's purpose is to defeat the resistor pellet in the ignition key. Also known as VATs.
What's is your plan for the harness?

Going on a 1991 engine I'm rebuilding now. Not sure what I'm going to put it in yet.
