Great videos! Best thing I have seen all day. The sound is amazing. I noticed a couple things:
1. Third break light was removed.
2. Mario was talking about "the other one" What other car was he talking about?
3. He said the front end felt planted at speed, my experience with these has been that the front end starts feeling light around 150... how did they solve that with seemingly stock aerodynamics?

Thanks for posting.

John prepped a C5 and a C4 for the event....Mario was talking about the C5. The C4 garnered the most praise from Mario.....he had less than good things to say about every other vehicle....even the $1.5 mil McClaren wandered badly.

Thank you for sharing Jim. I love the sound of a free screaming LT5.

Looks like they had the Shinoda tail end treatment with the spoiler as well. At least I think it's Shinoda.

What is in the final shot of both videos?

What is in the final shot of both videos?

That's a quick shot of the McLaren F1's engine bay.

You can tell from the horizontal matching crossmember, plus it says "McLaren " on the drivers side valve cover in the videos.(Oh wait it doesn't have a drivers side or passenger side-on the LEFT valve cover then) That's really tough to see though.
If the video shots would have shot up slightly more, we would have seen the gold foil heat reflector.

Very cool ! Anyone know of where these original videos are? They can easily be converted from 8mm or mini dv players etc to file ona usb drive. Would be really cool to see these videos in better quality and sound. a recording of a tv just cant do it any justice.

That ZR-1 sounds just EVIL!! Any idea what this Lingenfelter ZR-1 exhaust setup would of been? And to hear Mario talking about how it felt more stable and planted than the C5, just makes me smile! Just proves how legendary our cars truly are....

I have 2 copies, but they are in some weird format that I was never able to get into a modern sharable format? 1998 Costco CDs :dontknow:

Mario also said the $1.5 mil F1 wandered badly and he used the whole track!

wide open exhaust on that yellow car. it had the same exhaust that the red lingenfelter has where the pipes exit the middle of the car. max sound for max performance.

Mario looked like he was either on quaaludes. Or just didn't want to be there.

I let Mark Horner have one for a bit, at one of the gatherings; I'll check to see if he got it converted.

I just watched the videos again and guess what popped up. I stick it here!

Ive seen this one a few years ago when Jim 1st got the car
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCAT4uEiQzM

But I hadnt seen this, I wish we didn't have to listen to the other rattletraps in the background
11.12 @ 128.72mph
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQgkV0D1NCo

And this CLASSIC video, "DEAD MEAT". Poor Impala. The Vette gets BIG rubber shifting into 3rd and scuffs the tires into 4th. 10.60 @ 134.34mph
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZrNvJxDD-0

I didn't see this one either (just a nice little idle video)

No it did not, it had dumps under the car. Oh and it had a completely different exhaust when it ran 218 on the extreme machines episode a few weeks later.
