An effortless installation of the OEM GM 10067477 / 6PK2037 Serpentine Belt on the LT5
Remove air duct.
With the tensioner rotated, route the belt around the pulleys having it first behind the water pump pulley on the driver side. Then pass a thin nylon rope behind the belt between the generator pulley and the water pump pulley. Pull both ends of the rope from the driver side around the water pump pulley, the belt will easily go around that pulley. Remove the rope and release the tensioner.

Sounds...interesting. But! For us "visual" kind of guys, pictures would be WONDERFUL!!:)

Why would you have to do all this when all you need is the -right- belt? The GM belt doesn't fit,at least the one I tried using didn't but an aftermarket belt does, might be a Gates.

The right belt is the GM belt 6PK2037. I had the aftermarket one (Good Year 6PK2045) on the car but it is too long and the tensioner is not as efficient as with the GM. The GM one with my procedure is as easy to install as the aftermarket one and the tensioner is in the right position, I mean not too far down.
