checking interest, lot's of nice cars up for sale right now. sheesh, this is like the ZR1 version of the housing crash of 2010.
1994 ZR-1 number 12. I'm second owner. I purchased it in June 2010 in central Florida with just under 16,000 miles. I think the original owner (per carfax) died and the family sold or traded it to a Chevrolet dealership in florida where I won it on ebay.
it's not mint. Paint is probably 7, interior about 8, engine about 9 on a scale of 1 to 10.
It went to Marc Haibeck for a refinish and port in 2011 (16,280 miles).
Marc did his 500 hp upgrade which included porting, re-finishing the motor, and putting stainless screws in place of the factory black ones that had tarnished.
Also, replaced bad valve lifter, pilot bushing, replaced secondary fuel pump, flushed cooling system, hydraulic fluid, transmission lubricant, installed 4.10 gears, samco hoses, supports added to the intake air duct, headers and delta flow mufflers installed.
Currently has just under 20,000 miles on it, has been mostly sitting for the past 2 years as it's parked in Colorado and I have moved to Reno, NV.
Right now, it has an off-idle stumble that I haven't taken the time to try and figure out why.
Lately, I've been indulging my love of fast bikes, so haven't given the zr1 the attention it deserves.
checking to see if there's any interest at $29K.
thanks,
Jack

Agree very tough market right now for the ZR1 among other cars..
Saw one today cross the block at Carlisle ..1990 red/tan 23,000 miles..Very nice condition
Selling price was 16,750.....No reserve..

Its definitely been a buyer's market the last several years and I've been taking advantage.

Funny thing is at Carlisle I saw a 2015 Hellcat waiting to be auctioned...Didn't wait around to see what it went for if in fact it was sold..
I looked at the sticker price and it was 59,500 total....Now, I know a lot of dealers jacked up the price when they got the cars in....However, I believe when the car was first introduced it sold for what the sticker was...
706 Horsepower.... Upper 11s in the quarter mile and every option...My 91 stickered for 65,500....375 horsepower back in 91 !! 706 horsepower for 59,000 is a bargain...

$25K to a forum member before I either put it on eBay or long term storage.

If you do the math, $25k is a great deal. $16k spent for Marc to port top end, gears, headers, new flywheel clutch, etc. you'd be getting a 94 with under 20,000 miles for $9k, in effect. I'm selling the Colorado Springs house and doesn't do the car any good to park it in some storage garage. Bought a Rossian, my interests are changing. Needs a good home.

No one ever asks what something may or may not be worth because everyone wants to screw them down. So if he asked $24k would you buy it? Everything is worth whatever someone is worth paying for. What do you have since you do not list anything?

If you are posting and not helping to advance the sale of the car, but rather hinder the sale, don't post at all. That's not what this forum is about.
GLWS on a very nice car. I hope you get every penny.

He asked if there is interest at 29k. My comment was to provide a more realistic price. Think what you want but I was trying to help the guy.

Yes,someone did get a great car.....I'm always following sales trends on ZR-1s since I bought mine in Nov of 14....Planning on retiring in a couple of years at 55 or waiting till 57 and would like to get into possibly selling cars...
Maybe it's the sellers personal preference but only a few ever post what they sold there car for....Even on other Corvette forums very very few post the selling price.........
It would be a good thing if the sellers actually let other members know what in fact the car sold for...

Jack,
Wanted to let you know that the car just arrived! It looks incredible. Thanks for a wonderful transaction you were great to work with.
On a side note, are there any owners in the South Jersey area on here? This is my first corvette and I'm looking to get more active in the corvette community. I noticed that the Lakes Corvette club is right around the corner from me with some ZR-1 owners as members.

My parents had a home in Moorestown (exit 4) which is less than 2-1/2 hours from Wazoo land in Maryland. Come on down when we have a maintenance day and meet the gang. Welcome to the brotherhood.
