Rear alignment help needed

A friend of mine just bought a 91. He was over showing it off and I couldn't help but notice that his driver side rear tire wasn't lined up correctly. Also the height from the tire to the wheel arc didn't seem right for both. The wheel bearings are new and I can seem to find any wear in the joints. This week end he will be over to pop off the wheels so we can have a look, can you all tell me what to check and look for that might be the issue??

Inspect the rear suspension for worn or damaged parts. If you find something, repair as necessary.

If you don't find anything, take the car to an alignment shop and have all four wheels aligned.

I've heard that it's not unusual for tires to appear out of alignment when referenced to fenders because the body may not be symmetrical to the chassis.

Hib's advice is good (as always). If it were me I'd get out some string and see if I could tell for myself if something was awry. You can measure from different points to see if the tires on each side are symmetrical (measuring in triangles and 'X's). Or do the jackstand/string method and take measurements from the string to the tires. A Google search will probably come up with a description on how to do that. It's not too hard and it's free.

looks like two different wheel makers - take 'em off and compare.

There is a slight asymmetry at the rear wheels. The passenger side is further inboard. Since I have spacers on mine, I have thought about using a slightly thicker spacer to make up the diff.
