"Yes ... chrome-plated carbon fiber-reinforced plastic: Notably, the headlight rings, trunk spears and bumpers of the ’58 are chrome-plated CFRP, one of the few processes CRC doesn’t perform in house. Quaker City Plating (Whittier, CA, US) performs this task, first treating the CFRP part with a conductive material and then copper plating it, after which it is buffed and chrome is applied."
