Guys i'm finally home, the new alternator from Jerry's has been waiting for me for a while. I want to tie open the secondaries while i have the intake off.
Can i do that before i send the PCM off for recalibration and still drive the car around the block a few times???
Thanks Jay

Hmm. I think it will be very lean since you'll have twice the air but no more fuel. Might be okay with absolutely no load, but you should wait for a response from someone here who knows for sure.
What do you want to do? Just check for leaks or something? If it's to do more than idle speed, I'd wait for the chip tuning.
Patience, grasshopper. :-)
It will be the same air volume, just less air velocity. No worries about driving around the block.

GUYS!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!
So having the ALT go out was an absolute blessing...
Pulled intake found the MASSIVE vacuum leak (it was the port under the plenum behind T-body, drivers side.
I tied open the sec and put it back together on Sunday... HOLY CRAP!!!!
This thing pulls like a freight train now... Grabbing second gear, with size 15 feet, wearing Crocs ALMOST GOT ME KILLED!!! I LOVE THIS CAR MORE EVERYDAY!!!!!
So... I need a new clutch, what kind of fun is that on an LT5?
I think I'm going to make a call in to Jerry very... very soon! 1,350 for clutch. 600 for headers, 300 for tune... I'm so happy to be 2300$ poorer!

if you're not drag racing it you can run the l98 clutch or the lt1/4 clutch
