Hello from Switzerland,

I have to tell you, that I do not like to see videos like this (information for
links) on this webpage, because it is not a Lambo-page! Any well prepared
ZR-1 can do the same or even more. To go fast for one lap or in this case
one or two fast straights is nothing compared to the record run of the ZR-1
in 1990. The ZR-1 was very fast (196 mph during the practice sessions with
John Heinricy at the wheel), but the magic word is endurance, and I think
that there is no Lambo to do this! I know owners of Lambos, but nobody
of them would drive his car this way for hours. So I am proud to own a ZR-1
and not one these Italian "supercars", and there is no difference, whether it
is a Ferrari or a Lamborghini. Maybe some of you do not like to read these
words, but this is my opinion an nobody of you should think that European
sports cars are so much better than a Corvette or a Viper.(Sorry for my
English, I would be able to express my thoughts and my opinion in German
much better).

PS. and never forget the Callaway Slegdehammer with a top speed of
254 mph. It is not a ZR-1, but a C4 too.

Have a good time

While I agree with your overall point regarding how the ZR-1 rocks compared to inferior European makes like the Lambo and Ferrari:wink: , they still are automotive works of art. I also respect any car capable of beginning life at 180mph+ and this video is worth a look for any automotive enthusiast. There are video links to high speed runs of other Corvettes, Vipers, Superbikes, etc. in this or the racing section, along with ZR-1's.

So have no fear of this site becoming anything other than totally committed to the KOTH.
