I have a question ,On the right side cam cover the front part that has the three small torx bolts on it. There is a round piece of some sort of plastic that seems to act as a gasket. Size of a quarter, close to the oil filter housing. I noticed a small amount of oil leaking every now and then. Is this a common thing? How is this piece sealed.
I quess my question is how hard is it to reseal the cam covers. What is used and where do I get it. Is it a gastet or a sealer.
Thanks

It's a end cap. It's a piece of plastic/metal with a rubber o-ring around the perimiter. Basically the rubber is supposed to be the seal.
Passenger side cam cover is fairly easy to remove. Have to remove the coolant pipe from the injector housing and then the cover for heater box, along with a bolt that holds the breather tube into the cam cover. and then you can remore the cam cover.
After that you need to figure out why it was leaking, and then get a replacement part along with some anarobic sealant.

Not really. It can happen though. I would wipe access away first and verify the source.
