The only shoe I own that i can comfortably drive the Z and use my footrest without touching the clutch are my puma speed cats. Now i find out they don't make them anymore or only come with a sparco logo. (Puma Speedcat SD) What the heck PUMA!!! What do you guys wear??

puma is what I usually wear but they end up making parts of my feet go numb if I have to walk around much. I could some champion memory foam shoes at payless that work well

Most of the time - flip flops.
But if I have to wear shoes it's usually Nike Reax

Interesting topic!
Always curious about them, I finally got Santa to give me a pair of Pumas at Christmas. I love 'em!
They are extremely light weight, no protruding sole edges to interfere with each other or the narrow pedal spacing, grippy soles, very cool/comfortable on the feet.
Maybe the worst shoes are my usual summer garb, the running shoes. In comparison running shoes mixed with the narrow, close pedals is akin to the "bull in a china shop" scenario. Width is the enemy, methinks. The less protrusion to the outside edges of the feet, the better, I think.

I use to wear a pair of wrestling Shoes in my 89 when I would drag race.. I don't know if I still have them or not.. otherwise I don't wear anything specific

Piloti shoes, because they are typically narrow enough that I can maneuver around the pedals effectively.
But when I really want to be comfortable, I slip them off and drive just in my socks! (I wear a fifteen, and I don't have much choice, but I'm in!)

I can't find Piloti on NCM site. But I have these and I think have fallen in love with them, but I usually buy cheap shoes. I almost crashed with Reebok. http://www.usracegear.com/product/PI-00105
I don't know why link doesn't work, but they are Piloti Spyder S1.

At least I was honest... LOL
If I lived where it never got below freezing I probably would never wear anything but my Sperry Top-Sider flip flops... (See Sig Pic) BUT since it gets cold here in Missouri - sometimes I have to wear Nikes... :-D:cheers:
