After watching the news the last few days and watching our country go down the toilet. I found this cool Flashback Video of simpler times when people had no aggression, no anger, no political correct bullsh*t. I pray to the big man up in the sky this clown Obama is gone and Trump is in there saving our country from another Greece!

I cruised Van Nuys Blvd when I lived there in the late 70's. I had a '69 Mach I. Fun to think back on those times. I feel lucky I was able to get a little bit of taste of the Southern California car culture.

Regarding the recent news, I've been hearing about the 57% approval level of Trump, but I couldn't imagine any real actual people that would be in that group. :-)

Well would you prefer a woman in office?

Come on man ....

I don't get it ...

To me it's a no brainer because Trump is a proven winner. He has a long track record for getting things done and succeeding. But I think with how America today is run by women and gays and the minorities always complaining... We are a country of wussies and self entitled people who are lazy, fat, etc. The US could easily be another Greece. The video posted shows you how we used to be... chilled, having fun in the moment with real friends not fake friends online, no narcissism that we see so much now.

Kinda sad if you ask me :o

I think I saw a DeLorean for sale that could take you back to when you'd like to live again.

I think I'm ready to give a business man a chance to run things. Politicians are all the same, career/professional politicians. Something has got to change. Although, not the same change we had last time. Best quote I've heard in a long time.....Obama put us in the toilet, and Hillary is going to pull the handle.

I hear ya. We also need a President that actually served in the military as well. I find it hard to believe that someone can make the decision to put boots on the ground in harms way, but yet never had the guts or willingness themselves to serve in the defense of our nation.

So what are your thoughts on Ronald Reagan?

I agree, but that probably takes most of the business men out of the equation.

I was a kid when he was president, so my opinion really does not matter as I was not an adult during that time. I was too concerned about playing video games on our Commodore 64 computer.

I wasn't a kid and I remember pretty well what he did. He certainly fits the description of someone you presented in a previous post.

Oh and Reagan committed TREASON when he negotiated w the Iranians to delay the release of the hostages until AFTER THE 1980 election. He also committed crimes while in office by trafficking in drugs and arms during the Iran-Contra affair.
Not only should he have been impeached, but he and the rest of his crew should have been put in prison. His dementia saved him but not the country.

can we talk about zr1's and stay out of politics//our cars are what make the club what it is,//we do have politicians who would like to outlaw fossil fuels, now maybe we can agree that would not be good for our cars//

I agree. Usually a post with political opinions is going to bother 50% of the readers. Better to stick with a subject we all enjoy.

Back on topic - I wish I had my ZR-1 back when I was an 18YO cruising Van Nuys Blvd or driving Mulholland Highway. But then again, probably better I didn't. I would have gotten into even worse trouble.
