Just finished doing the pumps and have the filter off and noticed I have 1 o ring on one end of the lines that go into the filter. Is there supposed to be an o ring on each end? I have lots of spare fuel injector no rings but they're much fatter.

There is a seal on both ends of the filter. The seal is on the tube and NOT inserted into the filter first.

GM # 22514722 is correct for the seal and will be on the shelf at most GM's in your area. Some aftermarket will sell it in a package that has the correct and a smaller that is used on some return lines BUT NOT the LT5. There's no off the shelf generic with the correct spec but some have used a ISO 3601 spec that isn't correct but seems to work. That spec is 7.68mm X 1.78mm when compared to the Saginaw 7.35mm ID X 1.66mm THK.

Thx very much !

There was 1 o ring on one end. I removed it and found it slightly cracked/torn. I ended up pulling out the good fuel injector o-rings I had left over when I replaced them all with Jerrys new set. There is maybe a thread and a half less engagement but both ends tightened well and there's no leaks I checked a few times after fire up etc. still thinking to just replace them with smaller o rings ? Wondering if I'm crazy =D>

They did fit inside the filter without distorting and fit right onto the hard lines ... Sometimes I think I take the Mccgiver ideas too far ?
