View Full Version : Updated Radio for the Z Today.

So I updated the Radio in the Z today with a multi function radio NAV blue tooth the works :-) Im happy with it. While I was in there I also installed a new Shift knob and leather boot

Had to shave a bit of the console above the power so it could clear when the screen opens to place a CD into the radio also had to test fit a couple of times to get it just right but if you installed a radio before should be straight forward.

How did you deal with the Bose speakers and amps?

The car already had aftermarket speakers and amp. Going to upgrade those as well.

Looks great. Kinda makes me regret not going with a double DIN face.
I'm finishing up my installation. I have a Kenwood HU and I used a Metra adapter to keep the Bose speakers. I'm pretty happy with the sound. Even with the smaller HU I still had to remove some plastic to gain depth. Having challenges with lower shin panels and storing way-too-long wires (I guess some Vettes have stereo components in the back of the car). I shortened the simpler wires but didn't want to butcher the bigger ones.

I really wanted the Nav all my other cars have it I guess I felt like I was missing something in the vette :-)
