I was just finishing up my July 2015 issue of Corvette magazine when on page 6 (I read them backwards) I find "First year Corvette brings $275K at RM Amelia"...."had recently been returned to as new (or better) condition by noted C1-resto specialist Blue Flame Restorations"....."the winning bid of $275,000".
Was something already posted about this? Surely we couldn't have missed it.
Congratulations Brett - Steve:dancing

Congrats on the sale Brett. Having you in the ZR-1 group is a real asset to us all.... promoting the ZR-1 maintains awareness & keeps the Legend alive.

When I met Brett he was a 53 guy but I managed to divert some of his talent to our hobby too. I marvel at his works and can hardly wait to see his SS. I have been trying for years to get him to move to Florida.

Thanks to everyone's kind words. Since the Amelia Island show, the 54 Motorama Fastback has spotlighted me quite well. The 53 that sold was completed in 2009. It's sold a few times since then. Always nice to get credit when one of the 53's hits the block. Life is doing well!

I cannot state anything that already has not been said. I however have been to brett home several times and was able to see most of the motorama car being fabricated and built.
Brett talents go way beyond what you see. To rebuild a car from a car that is one thing. To build a car from a photo, that is entirely different. I cant wait to the SS complete in paint.

The SS is my all time favorite Vette. Although the 54 Motorama car in the flesh is also really impressive. His abilities are evident, but his dedication and execution are more so. To recreate legends has to be very satisfying.
Congratulations hardly seems enough. Maybe when the SS is done you could recreate the Speedster.

One of these days, we should plan a pilgrimage to Brett's place. I'm waiting for Wayne Carini to do an episode there for Chasing Classic Cars.
