Can't make it also...Will be away....If there is another outing keep me posted,or if it's a rain out......Another good spot would be the Jones Beach area, off the Meadowbrook...

I think where the old Oak Beach Inn used to be is a Sunday get together for a lot of cars..

You can really open the car up on Ocean Parkway...It's a long two lane highway all by itself ..

Oak Beach is a great spot too. The Inn is long gone, many a good times at OBI back in the day I sped my Harley Sportster at 100mph up 'n down.
Certain sections of Ocean Parkway have been rebuilt since Hurricane Sandy, so do a pass before you run a speed pass. Keep in mind it's 35mph near the turning circles at the towers ...kinda hard to explain to the State Troopers why you needed to be doing warp speed.

Even better. Have to get there early , small lot and lots of cars.

Watch yourself there. This time of year they crack down heavy on that. Loose your license and car too !

Nice pick, this interests me.

Starting point of Bayside Marina is 15 minutes from me, without a whole lot of driving into the city.
Once you're over the bridge, it's smoother sailing as the road quality gets better....hate to whine, but my car is lowered and scrapes the nose if I'm not paying close attention.

Not sure if the Taconic State Parkway is the route, that was like a rollercoaster ride with my Yukon XL a few weeks ago.

Yea the roads should be good I think they had repaved the Taconic 3 years ago.
