A tag line that prevails on our registry and is legitimate in fact is "It's not the car, it's the people". I had a fuel pump failure while at Fontana Dam, N.C. during Mountain Run 3. My special thanks to all those who missed opportunities to drive in the mountains as planned, but instead, stood back to support me, in my time of need, there and in Alcoa, TN. We were not left behind! Nancy and my thanks go to Bill, Shelley & Chris Hedberg, Denise Parsons, Scott Cone, John Porter, Jim Voter and Paul Workman and to another gentleman, running a black ZR-1 with a Michigan tag. Thanks for sharing your technical expertise, skill, transportation, and parts. I will, to the best of my ability, "Pass it on".

In addition, thanks to Gunny and Robert for all the efforts they extended, making this an adventure and a fun time.

And so it goes....Jim & Nancy Ferner

I know just how you feel, Jim. Happened to me last year at the Gathering. Alternator was going out on my drive up. Made it to the hotel, diagnosed while we had pizza and beer and Robert not only had a spare but helped me (actually, it was the other way around. I helped him) swapped it out in the hotel parking lot the next day.

What a wonderful group of guys. It's killing me to miss this...

Gotta love these guys. Mine died at the gathering. All the experts said "gee, I've never seen that before". My thanks to those guys for wasting a day at the gathering under my hood. -Steve

Happy to help... besides, I learned a couple of things that may be useful in the future.
