Hey guys! I'm seeing conflicting info here on the sequence for bleeding the brakes on our Z's. Mines a 94. I've read that somewhere around 91 or 92 the sequence was changed. I've read the traditional RR, LR, RF, LF and RF, RR, LR, LF. I've even read that some do not follow any specific sequence. I am not fortunate to have an FSM handy. Any advice is greatly appreciated! TIA!

If I am doing all 4 I do RF, RR, LR, LF but I have done just fronts and rears alone..
Funny thing is I always start on the Right side of the car

I have bled mine from RR first. Honestly I don't think it matters too much- front or rear first since the master is two separate reservoirs front to rear so it mainly makes sense to do the longer passenger side run first.

Interesting take on the master being split Mike! I agree on it making sense to do the longer passenger side first. If you are bleeding say just the fronts...will only the front reservoir of the master become lower? I would much rather do either the fronts and then the rear, or vice versa, and only have to jack one end at a time. I'm also changing out the rotors and putting on new braided lines.

I've read it changed somewhere in the production run.

I can look in my 96 FSM tonight if time allows

Thanks Jeff! I still would like to verify that this is the same for a 94 Z. I'm not sure if the brake systems are the same.

'94 if the "system" is bled you need to start with the "prime pipe" and that needs bled in the L/R storage compartment. It's mentioned "required" when master replaced, reservoir replaced or any time that the level were to be at a point considered extremely low. That's a manual/gravity flow that you let run until there's no air.
PRIME PIPE is master to pump.
Right Rear, left rear, right front and left front is the sequence mentioned for the calipers.
From a '94 FSM.
Prime pipe appears to be on the right side of the pump and might be marked EA. The prime pipe is high on the pump, front and rear are low. It appears that the front pipe on the pump is actually the rear wheels and the rear pipe is actually the front wheels.

A '96 FSM can't be used for references because it's completely different. That's a newer Bosch system. The bleed sequence could be the same but the system is very different.
