How to remove CHMSL (Center Brake Light)?

My body man called to see if I knew, or could find out, how the ZR-1's center brake light mount can be removed. It has a gasket, so he doesn't want to paint over that.

I searched here, and briefly through my manuals, but haven't found anything yet.

They are unique to the ZR-1, right?

they're the same as the 86-88 vette high mounts

Raise the hatch & you should see a couple of torx screws ... take these out & the CHMSL assembly will come loose. Not sure what else has to be done at that point but that's what I can remember from replacing a couple of bulbs last year.

We're wondering if someone changed the glass to a different year's. The holes aren't there to get to the CHMSL bolts.
