I'm looking at tires and have both a 275-35 and a 285-35 to choose from. The 285 seems like it might be too big on the front so thought is ask.

A local is running 285x17's on a '96 CE. He is using Grand Sport A-molds on all four corners. This is a street / track car. I don't know if there is a downside, but it looks great.

I've been running Michelin Pilot SS 285/35R18 fronts for two years now and they are fantastic tires. Apperancecl wise they fill out the wheel wells perfectly with the front end lowered.

I'm fixing to order up a set of Pilot SS's and was going back and forth between 285/35 and 295/35 18's for the front. Seems most prefer the 285/35's. Haven't placed order yet so I'll watch this thread for a day or two

I stand corrected. I'm running the stock C6Z06 tire size and the fronts are
275/35/18 w rear 325/30/19.

Can anybody post some pictures of the 285s on the car. I've got to make a decision here within a week and once the tire goes on the car it's on for good.

This could also depend on the wheel they are on. 285s on Z06 wheels may protrude a bit more out from the wheel well. My 275s are flush w the outer fender.

Anybody got a picture? My wheels will be here in about a week and need to make a decision on either a 285 or a 275. These will be on a 18-9.5 wheel.

Look up David Johnson's page. He's running 285's up front on 18x10's. Looks awesome with 345's out back. That's my plan:dancing
