I am looking for a Fuel Pressure Regulator and I am assuming the whole Fuel Rail with the hard lines/connectors/"O" rings between the Regulator and Rails. Ran into a Fuel Pressure Regulator Failure yesterday with Raw Gas sucked into the Plenum. It is Rare but Happens :)
I have not figured out how to take a Fuel Pressure Regulator apart but apparently the air controlled valve/bellows totally failed with raw gas being forced out through the vacuum port and sucked into the Plenum from the Fuel Rails.
Ruptured diaphram. The stock regulator is not made to be servicable. There are alternatives besides replacement with a stock style regulator.
All you need is just the regulator. I have the o-rings, PN 14104675-9V and also a stock replacement regulator.
However, YOU would LIKE this! Would be nice n' blingy with braided SS lines & look cool mounted on the RH side of the plenum.

Come to think of it, I may want to do this myself!

You know me too well Jerry :D
Thanks for the information.......I had no clue you sold the Fuel Pressure Regulator separately

Yep, under Fuel System Category
Considering you are one of my most prolific customers, and the time span, I've had plenty of opportunity to get to know you..... and glad of it!

Seems like it would be a challenge to use an aftermarket pressure regulator with our hard lines. Where and how would you plumb it?
Just curious.

Braided SS lines
1.Single unregulated supply line to regulator,
2. (a) If regulator equipped for 2 regulated outlet lines, then 1 to each rail.
If not, then (b) single regulated line to Tee fitting + line from each end of Tee run to each rail.
3. Regulator return to return fuel line
Fuel Rails modifications.
1. Weld shut all rail holes for fuel pipe connections between rails
2. Weld AN fittings on firewall end of fuel rails for regulated fuel pressure lines.
3. Mount liquid filled analog gauge direct to regulator
I have a set of modified fuel rails somewhere. Will take photo later if interested.
The benefit is constant fuel pressure at all manifold pressures, from max vacuum to zero or positive pressure if boosted.

I will never forget that Daryl! Order #0001:saluting:
I have in stock, but the same original design. Do you have an idea for a new design?

Maybe the ZR-1 script like our rear end logo, I like the splash logo as well and I can display my my splash pin to it as well like I have on your current hat. :)

What about the hat style itself, the soft, black denim. Is that still the preferred type? Maybe "Beanies" are the thing at the moment, especially for the NE part of the country.

OK......I can put it back together :p
I love the current hat "style"
Me also on the current Hat style (Jerry's)
But I see NO finger smudges on the Hat Bill of your hat that might indicate some original bolt handling or other mechanic work :D
I have a case of Simple Green Spay bottles and Paper Towel nearby maybe like you do

What a coincidence! just recently I was troubleshooting what seems to me as if the car was choking in addition to a Code 31 (cam sensor). The sensor checked OK but as I was disconnecting the MAP sensor to inspect it, I pulled the vacuum connector to the Fuel Pressure regulator and noticed fuel coming out of it.
Please help me make sense of what's happening to me. What were the symptoms your Z was experiencing? What was the car doing that made you look into the pressure regulator?
Thank you so much!

Fuel coming out of the Vacuum Port on Fuel Pressure Regulator indicates a failure of the "bellows"/valve. Just hard to find a Fuel Pressure Regulator.

I've run into this issue a couple times myself.
Nothing you can do with the failed regulator but replace it with a good one.
Expect we will be seeing more occurances of this failure as the fleet ages.
Hope Jerry is working on a replacment for us before all the stashed OEM spares are used up.

Please tell me the pressure regulator can be replaced without pulling the plenum!!
Don't throw the old regulators away. The replacement, when my inventory is gone, will probably be an adjustable rebuilt core.

I have a LPE adjustable fuel pressure regulator that I installed, but removed when we were having tuning problems and never reinstalled. Carter, I believe took it apart and it was refurbished.
Jerry, if this would help you in any R&D let me know, I would gladly send it to you.

Would absolutely be of help! Thanks Dennis. I can return it to you after taking measurement & photographs.
THANKS!

Would be nice, but it's not going to happen. The entire fuel rail assembly has to come out & onto the bench to disassemble & replace the regulator.
