Title says it all. Is there stuff on the ZR-1 that I need to check for, especially?

I don't think that's a good idea. It'd be easy for anyone to steal the deal!

although I see your point. I don't think anyone in the group would do that, in fact over the past 13 years I have been around this group I've seen its members go out of there way many times to help a perspective ZR-1 buyer evaluate cars.
Again Good Luck and keep us posted as to what you get.

I just checked a ZR1 out for a guy in Texas :p
ZR1 checked out in CA (http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c4-zr-1-discussion/3594402-f-s-1991-zr-1-44-500-miles-2.html#post1589081753)

I was tempted to buy this ZR1 myself but that would not work so well if the inspector turned into a buyer :D
There were some other items I checked but did not list.....all items passed in good working condition.
It is best if you let someone familiar with the ZR1 and LT5 to take a look for you.....
Was this the car you were looking at from this thread?

Seems somebody purchased it.

I had a guy that looked at a lamborghini for me in Seattle once.
He bought the car then tried to sell it to me for a profit. What an ***.

Reviving this thread. I'm going to see another one on saturday. Should I insist to get a compression check in a garage? What else should I focus during the inspection?

Getting a compression check is a bit rare as part of a pre sale inspection but I always do compression first thing along with changing all fluids including coolant once the Z is in my garage. Do take it for a ride and note oil pressure and coolant temperatures along with any strange sounds. Do check for coolant and oil leaks after the ride.

Thank you again for the infos Dynomite! If I got a deal with the seller, I'll be riding her back home (1,100 kms). I'm a bit stressed at the moment.

Is it commun stuff with ZR-1 owners to lose their valet key? I'm 2/2 so far from the ZR-1s I tried.

Never lost one, but I never remove it.
