Johnny,

Congrats on the purchase of a ZR-1 and welcome to the brotherhood!

If you didn't already know it, you are in a great region with a large and active group of owners to learn from and socialize with. I just moved into the area a year ago, but it definitely gives me some peace of mind knowing that I'm not alone and unafraid when looking to repair or upgrade. I hope to see you at one of the maintenance days once things thaw out.

Post up some pics of your car when you get the chance. I love new ZR-1 eye candy!

Cheers,
Scott

the car is getting shipped and should be here in a 2 weeks so I will post pics when I get it. I need new tires, most likely a secondary vacuum pump, injectors, and I was told to replace the coil packs while im in there. Also the steering wheel wobbles at highway speed and vibrates so I will need that oversized pin and hopefully that does the trick.

J5, welcome aboard! This is a great group of guys with collectively more LT5/ZR-1 knowledge than anywhere on Earth. And they are always welcome to share their experiences and screw ups.

Post pics when you take delivery. Can't wait to see it! Any chance you can plan a get away to Bowling Green in May? It's a huge 25th Anniversary gathering at The Corvette Museum. It's not one you are going to want to miss. There's a couple of threads on it.

Again, welcome...

Welcome to the Brotherhood of the BEAST! :handshak:

Most of the things you mentioned are pretty much plain ol' routine R&R kinds of LT5 stuff (after 20 some years). Hope you have it together in time to join the fun for the "MR3" (aka the third annual mountain run) which kicks off the Bowling Green gathering.

Congratulations! It was great talking to you as you made your search for your ZR-1. It sounds like you made a good choice. I look forward to some pictures when it arrives in NJ and to meeting you in person here in WAZOO-land.

Thank you everyone. Before I think about taking my new baby across the country I want to address all these little issues to make sure she's running right....400hp right not the 250hp valet mode it's currently stuck on now

Welcome! Now here's probably the best advice anybody is going to give you. Before you buy anything for that car come over here and ask about it first.Heres an example, The vacuum pump for a ZR-1 will cost you anywhere from $300+ but the same part is used in other GM application and can be had for around $120 shipped to you door.

Should be here this weekend. I cant wait to take photos of the rear. Gotta love that wider rear end. Great thanks to Rob and Jim for aiding me in the purchase. I bought a used pump for 85 bucks, so maybe its just the pump and a few hoses before i experience the full power of the LT5

When you live North that is the worst Christmas present you can get.

I hate getting toys I couldnt play with for four maybe five months.

Yea, im just happy i found a garage to put her in. 2 months rob, it should be warm by the end if march beg april. Its sucking gad badly so im assuming it def needs injectors. Btw where should i buy the injectors? Best brand and price?

Fuel injector connection.
New Stainless Steel.

Sometimes winter wirks out better. I know next winter ill be pulling the entire suspension off the car for bushings/polishing . I'd hate to do all that during driving weather ;)

Sucking gas badly doesn't mean it needs injectors.
