That thing is sweet. The next time I need to repair or make a hard line, I will by a quality hand-cranked tool, but that thing would make quick work of it and maybe flare the cleanest.

Lee...that is a very nice TOOL and like Jerry said...We LIKE TOOLS

I especially like the Push Connect flare I think for the Plenum Fittings.
Let us know Fittings Sizes you use and what type of Tubing? ;)

Oh! I didn't even notice that... This type of tool will go onto the wish list that I won't likely follow through on- like really high end tap and die sets and the like...

Slick wonder how they would come out in stainless.

I think they say you can't do stainless

Well the hydraulic part of the tool turned out to be bad; I bought it used....but I was still able to make a few test runs on scrap aluminum tubing I had:

The quality was relative to how even the face of the tube was and the straightness....also you can vary the degree of the flare a lot

That is the infamous Push Connect Flare used on the Plenum Fittings

Excellent Job Lee :handshak:

If those fittings are the correct diameter, one can just use Red Loctite and push them into the Plenum where required if a fitting has become dislodged and lost or broken.

I think with some practice I can do better, plus prepping the tubing. But these are functional and fit very well

Lee.........Seems to me you do not need any more practice....those fittings you made would work perfectly

Actually.....Lee........we now know where to get those hard to find Push Connect Flare fittings for the Plenum :handshak:

I bought this same tool from Snap-On a few months back. At first it didn't seem that easy to use, but after I got familiar with the dies and the procedure it was a breeze to use! I wish I had this years ago.

As for doing stainless lines, I was on a drag racing forum and the guys were talking about this same tool making stainless lines. Some said they couldn't make them and some said they had no problem. I haven't tried to make any yet but I think if you take your time it can be done, this tool has got to make it easier.

My brake line that runs along my fuel tank shows some surface rust so maybe I'll give it a try in stainless this coming year:)

Also I bought this on sale from my Snap-On dealer which we all know isn't much of a deal most time but I didn't spend anywhere near the price Eastwood gets. I would shop around a bit first. Definitely a great tool...jimmy
