Phil DeJohn was driving then. He was pissed off that he missed 3rd. That was possibly a 10.9X run. We were all hoping for that. I was standing right next to Bob when that run went down.
That 385 was done by DRM then LPE. The car then went into the hands of Corey Henderson. Lot's of history with the car. That is a VERY strong running car.

Damn!!! That is one heck of a present! I do have to say that it is the best sounding car, of any, that I've ever heard.... and it is one hell of a ride!

I still call it "Bob's Car", and of course, take care of it as such. As Frank said, it has a ton of history, and certainly an iconic car among the Registry thanks to Bob who made sure it was at all the ZR-1 Gatherings, and Phil who could demonstrate its capabilities and get it down the track like no other. Graham told me that it was the fastest 385 LPE ever built, and as stated, Corey incredibly found a way to squeeze even more out of it.

I frequently have to go out to the garage and pinch myself.... In fact, I'm headed there now....after I watch this video a dozen more times!

Thanks Pete! I REALLY appreciate this!

Regards,
Mark

After that run Phil got out of Bob's car and shook his head. Handed Bob the key's and said "your going to need third gear syncros". Also I remember Phil saying something like after missing third gear he backed out of it a bit. Hence the 125 MPH.

Man did we have fun that day. Later on Bob grabbed me by the head with one arm and told me he like's his new little Eyetallion buddy from New York. Bob has been a good and well respected friend ever since.
