Thoughts on coil pics ? Replace or .. ?

I purchased a used set of msd coils. I wasn't going to use them until another time and was going to re-use the coils currently on the car just to keep things the same and not introduce new parts in case of issues.

I was wiping down the coils and found a few cracks and just aged plastic. Thoughts ?

I wouldn't think a cracked coil is worth the agrivation, they aren't very expensive. Plus, they are widely available. Jerry has them.

Absolutely switch them out. I've had MSD coils for 7 years now and they still function very well. When I did my top end porting initially, I also swapped out stock coils and injectors. Didn't need to, it was more a matter of efficiency and preventative care. Another one of those "while you're there" kind of thing.
If I can pre-empt a breakdown on the road, I try to do that.

Thanks guys definitely switching them out. To be honest I'm not sure why I bought the used msd coils I wish I had just ordered a new set. Seemed reasonable for the price and I had a PayPal balance just urging to be spent ;) glad to hear msd has worked I think I may use them. The plenum is plugged now so switching in the future will be very easy. Especially now that I've done pulling the plenum once.

I think I bought the msd coils from you ? Can't even rebember lol. I picked them up as spares but looks like I'm better off using them over these. I'll get some oem replacements ordered up.
