My ZR-1 has been in storage for 2.5 years. All seemed to be OK on it, but it was running hot, so I waited to see if the cooling fans turn on...they do not.
Fans will turn freely by hand, no wires appear to have been chewed through, relays have been reseated and no fuses blown.
Is there an "easy" way to check what might be the malfunction?:fahne:

Do the fans turn on with the AC on? That should should at least turn on the seconday fan.

Add freon to the AC maybe ... if the system is charged, both fans should run when AC is requested. If the system needs to be charged, the
fans won't run and an indicator LED will flash on the control head.

I'm thinking you already checked fuses at fuse box.
Check the fuseable links behind the battery one of those is power (+) to the fans i have found link to be good but wire inside insulator was caroded
Get a volt meter check each wire for continuity from the screw post and
about 2 inches past the fused link.

If you have no diagnostic tools, here is the quickest way to check the fan circuits.
On the AC hard line along the RH side there are two electrical connectors. Disconnect the rear (smaller) one and turn the ignition on - both fans should run - I don't think the engine has to be running.

The fans will spin when jumpered in a test from the battery power connector to the fan lead on the relay connector. Replaced the relays and still no workie.
Yes, the indicator is flashing on initial engine start up. So, I'm off to the parts store to get some Freon to see if that helps.
UPDATE: Freon did not help. AC clutch never comes on. I never get voltage on the lead for the blue & black wire and the Blue & White wire.
