Impressive indeed. I have to think all ZR1 owners are not too happy about this.
Maybe a new mid engine ZR1 will come along to take back the throne again. LOL

People are speculating that the downforce and additional weight of the C7 are keeping the trap speeds below 130 mph, but I'm sure some individuals will get some pretty fast ET's in cool air with below sea level DA at some east coast track this winter.

When is this car coming out?

Stock LS-7 Base line Dyno 527.3 hp (engine dyno).

With engine back in car testing prototype Callaway Honker intake we got the 146 mph. in 1/4.

First suppercharger Dyno 730 hp but couldn't go full rpm.

Second suppercharger 2300 injectors sent with suppercharger went lean burned two pistons.

Resleaved block with all new internals.

Now it dynoed 750 hp and 852 torque.

It's been detuned to 652 hp and 620 torque for drivetrain longevity.

Cool!

The article leaves the feeling that both the 8 speed auto and manual trans both trap at 127mph. The 8 speed will have a shift before 60mph.
Love those LS7's.
I cant believe how much a Z/28 Camaro costs though. $6,000-$8,000 more and you could be into a 2015 ZO6. Once the Z/28 is cancelled, the chances of seeing another 427 car are slim.
