Hey all;

I've got a 90 ZR1 and the other day I had a unique situation occur which I cannot seem to rectify. When I started the car, the AC and blower came on full blast. The outside temp gauge displayed " -- " and the clock was stuck at " 1:00 ".

Nothing on the climate control panel works, and the radio now does not work so the clock cannot be adjusted.

This all happened at the same time so I image its linked to the same issue, whatever that may be.

Has anyone had a similar issue, and what do you think the issue could be?

Thanks.

Unplug the battery and see if the condition persists.

2nd thing I would check is the battery. C4s do strange electrical things if they dont have 12.69 Volts. Its cost nothing to get it load tested.

If neither of these solve the problem it could be other issues.

Ive got a new battery on there, but I will unplug and re-connect and see if the issue persists.

Thanks.

Check the FSM (Factory Service Manual) Ito see if those items share any fuses or fusible links and then check those

Battery disconnect proved fruitless. I don't have a FSM so cant trace it that way. Spoke to Vette Works in Port Perry ON and I will take it down next week weather permitting. The guy who runs the place seems knowledgeable so hopefully he can pin the issue down.

Did you verify your "new battery" does not have an internal short under load. Must auto parts stores will load test it for free. Other than that is could be an AC controller issue/failure above the gas pedal on the Fire wall.

Thanks. I'll bring it to the Vette shop and post the results.
