Yep! The FBI gang took home the trophy again this year! This was the team trophy for the club that turned in the fastest 3 passes aggregate. Contributing driver were Bob G's 427 LT5, Al Dashto with his 441 LT5 and Marc Haibeck' super-charged LS9 ZR1!

There were the several Chicago clubs there, including our nemeses, "Fast Glass Corvettes" out of Chicago, as well as Glass Impressions, as well as CPCC and a few others that always give our best cars a run for the money.

There were several C7s racing, perhaps a half dozen in all. And, on of them won the individual quickest time of 140.x mph!

There too were a couple mishaps that held up racing, but fortunately, NONE of the Corvettes were involved.

Long live the ZR1/-1s!

Marc, holding the Club Trophy; the third time in 4 years it has come home to the FBI! Way ta go, boyz!!

Great job Paul. Do you know what tires Marc used. I took my LS9 out last year and could not get it hooked up at all.

I was looking to try new set up, this just gives me a reason.:)

She gave me great pleasure for years never let me down.:-D
She took me to BG for many years I'd run her hard and she still got me home safe.
I will not give up on her.

Pete,

Is your wife aware of this?

I'm lucky. Ami is as big a Corvette nut as I am. It makes it a lot easier to talk about mods for the car(s). That leaves the "only" hurdle being the $$ aspect of mods. :censored:

It's great to that you guys did well, but I'm sorry to hear that the green monster broke.
I'm anxious to know what the problem was. I would hope it's some easily fixed driveline breakage due to the fact that the car is putting out what? 150+ more horsepower than stock? I sure hope that it's nothing in the stock short block.

Pete, please keep us posted. I'm a big fan of that car because it's the best example out there of a serious 1/4 mile car that doesn't rely on cubic inches to get the job done. A real "Benchmark Car".

Congratulations! Sorry I couldn't be there but had to be at a wedding in Florida. Also sorry Pete that yours broke--as you say, a good excuse for a new program. Sounds like everyone had a good time. Nelson007, Marc said he had a wheel hop problem with the LS9 but after talking with Graham (who has some experience with LS9s) resolved it with tires and pressures. You might want to talk with Marc directly about it. -- Bob

Congrats! Wow! The FBI guys never cease to impress me.... and while Pete may have had some trouble, I have no doubt that what Pete does next will raise the bar even further.

Again, congrats!!!

Congrats Gents, It's nice to put a face to a name. I saw a video a while ago where one of Marc's 441's was being started in his shop. I thought it was Marc himself who was under the hood, but apparently not. I really need to get my but South of the border and meet some of you guys.

Good work guys. Very very impressive.
