I may have overlooked previous postings on how to replace the rear exterior trim on a 90ZR1 but cannot find anything. Even googled...nothing.
I can reach underneath the car and get acouple of the nuts off from the corners but the ones in the very back seems like you have to drop the exhaust.
Hoping someone can direct me in how to get to the backside of the nuts that holds the rear exterior trim off.

Sam
Dropping the exhaust is not that big of a deal, especially with a lift.
It may make the job your tackling alot easier.

Funny you mention a lift. I have someone coming over tomorrow to look at my garage to determine if it can accommodate one and if so, what type.

Hi Sam-- Not to hijack the thread, but I put a Direct Lift 8S in a couple of years ago and love it. Measure carefully, but in simple terms I have a 5' tall car (BMW 5) and a 4' tall car (ZR-1) so a 10' ceiling is fine. Had to raise the garage door tracks to within a few inches of the ceiling and I also got rid of the center opener and went with a LiftMaster 3800 jackshaft opener on one side. My garage is 21'x21' and has an 18' wide door instead of the usual 16' wide one. Very helpful as I can keep the lift within 2' of my side and it doesn't even cross the centerline of the garage. Picked Direct Lift in part because it was the widest underneath but the narrowest on the outside. I also positioned it close to the door to leave plenty of room at the front. Lastly I got a pair of Race Ramps lightweight ramps because I swap cars fairly frequently. The ramps that come with the lift are steel--70 pounds each! I have quite a few pictures in my albums on this site--just click on my avatar and go to the garage lift album. Any questions, just send a PM or post here.--Bob

Hey Bob,
Tks for the info. I did check out your garage photos. Very nice.
Fella came out yesterday and the ceiling is just over 9' but he indicated a 4 post would work. He is looking at the Revolution RFP9. See link: www.revolutionlift.com/4-post-lifts-c4.aspx (http://www.revolutionlift.com/4-post-lifts-c4.aspx)
Waiting on the quote but I have a feeling I will ask to look at other brands, such as the one you have or by BendPak. The individual installs lifts for a living and all the car dealers in town use him so he should be qualified in making the assesssment. I just need to not get carried away. My garage is unique in that I am built up due to flood zone. So, the lift would not be at the edge of the garage but located deep in the garage. I have HVAC ducting to contend with, so I may have to back up the car that goes on top like you initialy did till you made adjustments. I like the idea of the "narrowest on the outside" cause I have steel posts that holds large girders throughout the garage. My problem, according to my wife, is "too many axles" :)
