Can anyone tell me what is the finish on the factory wheels for my 94?
I cleaned them the best I could for the first time today and noticed that in some areas the finish is coming off.
Would I be able to use some aluminum touch up paint for a temp fix?
Although there isn't any curb rash, there is tire rash on the rims. Apparently when tires were changed, there wasn't any care taken not to scratch or damage the outside lip of the wheels.
I realize that in the future I would have to get them redone with the factory finish, but for now something temp would work just fine.
thanks for any info......

It's called Argent Silver. It was used on pretty much every C4 (and a lot of other Corvettes, for that matter) except for the special machine-finished '93 wheels. You can get it from the Corvette parts houses.

Thanks Chris, interesting that it is the same as the rally wheels on most C3's.
Eastwood has it, so I will give it a try.......

The Eastwood Rally Wheel Argent paint is a matte finish so you will need to find a compatible clear coat.

I bought this paint recently to redo a front bumper on a Ford work truck that didn't have the chrome package. Dead ringer for that color too.

Thanks Mike, will be sure to check out the clear coat......

A kid at the tire shop doesn't give a crap about your wheels or anyone else's.
