The 93 Z I purchased a few months ago has some chromed factory 93 wheels on it. The chrome looks old and the wheels definately arn't show worthy...I was looking through the 93 brochure and it does not list that the chrome wheels were ever available as an option in 93. I want to eventually show the car and I want it original, so does anyone know if that was a late option or do I have some modified wheels?

Chrome was never a option on the ZR-1. Somebody sent them out to be dipped.

This is what the stock wheels on a '93 should look like:

Sorry, only the 40th anniversary ZR1 wheels looked like that. The stock wheels on a '93 didn't look like that. They didn't have that deep dish and colored centercaps. ;)

True, only the 40th anniversary cars had the ruby center caps. However, all ZR-1s have the deep dish on the rear wheels and all Corvettes from '93 to '96, ZR-1 or not, had this type of wheel finish (those that came with "sawblades").

I was just "harassing" you for the wording "stock". The deep dish is the first thing newbies look at to separate a ZR1 from a "stock" C4.

The ruby car is very nice, they are demanding a premium, especially the ZR1's.
