Still learning about the LT5, so I decided to add this item to avoid the possible collapse of the air duct during high rpm operation, I purchased this part. Although we have specific vendors that carry parts for our vehicles, and I have supported them recently, with that being said, I found this part on the "bay".
Had a good write-up and some of you may have already purchased this or know of it.
Took a good 20 minutes to get it installed, and it feels and looks like it will work very well. No way anything is going to collapse with this installed.

No. Got it for 458. I'd also made one from aluminum sheet using pop rivets.
Sort of wonder if the thickness of the phenolic reduces amount of airflow vs. The aluminum. On the other hand, the phenolic is smoother with fewer protrusions into the airflow (ie. rivets and seam).

Well went for a ride this AM and by the way the 94 performed, I would say that there was not any hinderence of air flow what-so-ever........
Very happy with the mod, glad I did it........

Yes, saw that, but I liked the insert better, you do have to undo the air assembly for easy install of the air duct, but no biggie, and priced the same.
Marc, has great products, his chip is fantastic......

I was able to get one of the last coplin air ducts in 02 or so and love it. I think david, or was it the registry, came out with something similar. Awesome stuff

I would say that whatever method we use to firm up the air duct is a positive move in that we don't have to worry about collapse during high rpm operation....
and that is a good thing.......:)

I have some in the garage, although I am not a coffee drinker, you can still get them at the food store. Just went out to the garage and checked, this one is from the Giant, all metal inside......If you need one, let me know, be glad to send one out to you.......
