So, I have this engine now, breaking it down trying to decide what colors, what things to repair remove replace etc.
This engine is out of 1990 #1687
I've added pictures from the time I got off my truck until now breaking it down.

Other than sitting in rain for two weeks, other than a few parts needed, no real problems whatsoever, clean no leak present.
So, now I am trying to figure our what I am going to do with this engine and what I am going to use it for.
Question: If I was going to sell this engine when completed what colors would be best, opinions please.

So, moving with the mount and breakdown..
Got a bit done in 3 hours!
a few notes:
Engine was running as of may 2014 at 59,000 miles
4 broken bolts (drilled and pulled)
engine is clean oil wise(no leaks that I can find)
Rubber hoses and vaccume was F%$ked!!!
secondaries and starter show corrosion.
It came with all the plugs(elect) and flywheel as well as ECM chip.
only damage is from a forklift on the oil pan.
still deciding on color(may go with chrome powdercoat)

Yeah, I Don't know why they cut the wires the way they did.
Johnny, you would buy and sell any ZR1 part anywhere don't talk!:razz:
I want to try the permastar but I want to find a local company that I can talk to when doing it, I am prepping all of the parts now for powder coat.
Most of the engine is pretty clean now, still prepping... I'll send pics here in a few minutes.
I also think I will sell some of my "rare-ish" parts to recoup some of the money for the Engine.
I have already prepped the Plenum and IH's for water bypass.
I am utilizing the new secondaries from the white car's engine for this one, since the old ones off this engine or so corroded and Untrustworthy.;)

Dempsey,
Try out Classic Powdercoating, tel: 301-948-5993 located at 423 E. Diamond Ave, Gaithersburg, MD 28077. They did a good job on my brake calipers. Just watch the speed cameras right before the town...they are well hidden and I never saw them but got a nice letters and photos in the mail..they got me both ways!

NOW, I cant find a 1968/1970/1971 with an LT5 in it. If anyone can assist in this build with some knowledge, that would be great, if not,...I figure it out..;)
