XXX Rootbeer corvette show Sunday in Seattle area. Only 2 corvettes in the 1984-90 categorie. My beautiful black z with all documents displayed, pizza box, etc. and an 87 coupe auto with nice paint and a wood dash added. Guess who got first place and it was not my z. Oh well, it did get a lot of attention and it got to talk to a lot of great folks.

What a great 4 day bash. John Heraicy (sp) was inducted into the hall of fame so the next day he gave a talk. Very interesting talk, esp. About the "record run".

recently purchased a 91' 27K mile white/red ZR-1 from fellow on Vashon Island, near Seattle My first ZR-1 after 45 or so other Corvettes.....my age might b showing. VERY INTERESTING CAR! Working on some issues, oil cooler lines replaced, blower motor resistor replaced, couple vacuum leaks resolved...may need manifold gskt? Overall car is nice, but I'm pretty anal. Has anyone put late model Z06 wheels on? GO DUCKS

Glad to hear from someone in the Northwest! Sounds like you have a nice car. I go through the Seattle area every month. Would love to see you car. Are you by any chance driving to the 25th anniversary of the Zr-1 gather this May at the NCM?

I don't travel to Eugene often.....The "ZR-1 Net Registry" and the "Grand Sport Registry" meet every year in May at the National Corvette Museum (NCM) for a three day event. This year is a celebration of the birth of our ZR-1's. Should be a great event. I attended the 20th anniversary of the NCM this past August, 27 - 31. It was a "trip to remember"! This upcoming "Gathering" is May 14-17. We will have the motor sports park one day also. Lots of important people instrumental in the development of the ZR-1 and corvette racing will be in attendance. I would encourage your attendance, car or fly. Either way you will be impressed and educated. The development of our Z's is a fascinating story if you have not already researched it.
