We've all seen numerous painted LT5's, in a wide variety of colors, and some polished to a chrome like finish. But has anybody seen one with a satin, brushed look? If you have, are there any pix out there?

I suppose you could get the effect by polishing the surface, then using abrasive to take off the shine, for a smooth, yet not shiny appearance. I think it would have to be covered with clear coat. Could that be done with a clear powder coat?

I've always liked the purposeful look of brushed aluminum, and think the LT5 would look wicked that way.

Any thoughts?

I did the top of my plenum in a brushed look. Powder coated. Looks great.

Havent seen any and I debated on doing that but I decided against it. Both the wheels I refinished of late were brushed by hand with clear powdercoat. One with a rougher grit... choosing a direction for that kind of brushing would be interesting on an engine though. The wheels on my Z used a finer grit that I call raw aluminum with a clear pc.
