I heard all of that.
I also don't believe for a second that the oil companies don't buy up stuff like this all the time. It's only good business.
Yep! I have bought up some of those "miracle" gadgets myself during my career in the oil business just to insure my future. later on, I sold them to Exxon for a ton of money. One of the coolest (or maybe it was hottest) gadgets was the simplest. You just cut the fuel line, wrap a bunch of copper tubing around the exhaust manifold, and connect it all up with a couple of rubber hoses & clamps. I paid $75,000 to buy the rights from the ol' boy that invented it. Funny thing was, he disappeared right after I sold it to Exxon for 11 million. Found his pickup, burnt all to hell & just ashes inside. Maybe they didn't trust him??

Jerry, I'm not suggesting the oil companies buy up gas cans with rubber hoses in them. I am suggesting that we should, and can, get better than 20 or 30 mpg.
Nothing personal! I'm just kidding around and thought you were too.

I like it. I'm going to relocate my battery (to make room for the gas can) and drill 3 huge holes in the plenum. And install a CB.

I will experiment with my Toyota 4x4 carbureted......
Then on to eliminating Fuel Injection......
I am going to experiment with ten (or more) 1/4 inch plastic tubes submerged in gas (the 1/4 inch tubes connected to an air filter). I will use a long top to bottom cylinder for the gas vapor to generate from the bubbling air through the liquid gas. The Cylinder will contain a float valve and be connected directly to the fuel tank through a "T" after the Fuel Pump. I will close off the running jets in the carburetor except for the acceleration jets and leave the Fuel pump connected to the carb for those acceleration jets.
I will have just one connection from the top of this cylinder to the Carburetor Intake (no need for three or more separate hoses).
Damn.......I am excited :D
Just kidding....;)
New meaning to the terms "running on fumes" :sign10:

probably a flatlander... sure, an engine will run super lean, but lets see that fume system push a 3000 lb car uphill.
