Welcome to the Brotherhood of the Beast!
Some plastic tubing and some check valves and a couple actuators. Not much to it, really. If you need anything, I have most ALL of my secondary stuff that you're welcome to if you need a part or two.

thanks for the kind offer of parts..
im at an impasse now..gotta watch the haibeck video a time or two more to get comfortable with the idea of removing the
plenum and fixing the problem..other part of the impasse is once im in there do i fix it or tear it out?
i am no purist..just want a good pull when i step down..which is makin me tend toward the tear it out solution..

Check out the thread I recently started on secondaries. Paul and a bunch of other guys give some compelling reasons for just removing the system altogether. Good luck!

Welcome to our illustrious group.
Nice to see another torch red/grey 94 amongst us.
Suggest you hold off on pulling the secondaries. Very easy to fix the issues you have now. Then drive it for awhile and see what you think.

It seems a little daunting before you do it the first time, but you'll be able to do it!
Let us know how it goes.

Make sure you drain just a bit of coolant to get the coolant level below the top of the Injector Housings. I also Plug TB coolant at the top of the Injector Housings making it easy to pull the plenum without messing with coolant the next time you pull the plenum. You also have to block the coolant flow from the TB to the top metal tank in front of the passenger side (I placed a plug in the rubber hose).
Good Luck

Carter makes a nice plug for that rubber hose.
Was that a plug for Carter, or a plug from Carter? Huh.

back in the days when i had patience and my 91 L98( RIP) i did some tinkering around the map sensor....i remember adding a tee there for a test port..for probably ten years that puppy ran with a white golf tee plugging that test port..

Welcome. Be sure to post after you get those secondaries fixed, because I think "pleasantly surprised" doesn't even come close to what you're going to feel. More like "HOLY SH*T!..... Now,THAT'S what ZR-1's are all about.
I wouldn't start ripping out the secondary system before you actually get it functioning right. Because unless you're doing some serious porting and intake work, I'm not sure there is an actual performance advantage.
Mine's been functioning fine with no maintenance for 23 years. Just sayin'
Best of luck.

i am considering the disabling of the system not for a performance advantage, just the reliability associated with it..i hear of no real down side from the system disablement ,other than perhps some low rpm torque loss ..which seems negligible..i dont race, minute numerical advantages dont matter to me.. push me back hard in the seat and im happy..so either way the plenum has to come off..
