Here's a vid of me getting a good long look at the 2014 Lingenfelter's taillights. It was great meeting everyone there, had a great time.

What would be the chances of me getting hold of that for LPE use. Great fun by the way, drag racing on a dirt road!

Lingenfelter 10.9 @ 131

In the more mundane world of ordinary old ZR-1s, WARP TEN ran 12.4 at 116 mph with Marc H driving but not power shifting. (He also consumed about $400 worth of new Michelins in his burnout!) I ran a 12.6. Did we get a video of that? And yes the track was mighty slick.-Bob

He got you on the hole shot!

What would have been fun is if Pete or Kevin w Maximus were there.

Graham,

We could have a spot for you at the 1/2mile event on the 22nd in Monee?

Frank, That LPE is a beast. The only rubber after 120' was being laid by the C7 LPE.
Mark H. broke the tires loose in fourth gear.

Graham, I have two spots that I paid for on June 22nd in Monee Illinois at the 1/2 mile wanna go fast event. I do not have anything to take at the moment, I was hoping to have the LPE complete but, still have no interior or paint. You are more than welcome to take one.
Two if you bring the TT ZR-1.

Nice sad I missed BG this year.
Something going on with that run ???? only picks up 23 MPH in the last half.
Either running out of breath or got off it.

Just for info i pick up 30 MPH the last half.

We all missed you Pete and Bob and Al and Kevin and Frank this year. BG overall was one of the best I've attended, 'cept rubbin' elbows with the rest of the FBI gang. Hope to see you all at the 1/2 mile in Monee come June 22.

Bob,
The car is equipped with an Edelbrock TVS 2300 Supercharger, it has an LPE cam, no head port work. Made 645 rwhp in that spec, it is fueled soley by the DI system. Our main issue at BG was NO TRACTION, having to short shift every gear, no powershift and lots of tire spin, looking at the data log never got to wot until about half way through each gear, trying to control spin.

I have a few from the drag strip and a couple from the autocross. I'll get them posted up on youtube as soon as I can. If you subscribe to my channel you will get a notification when I get them up.

Yup, that beast needs some serious drag tires, not those big wheels and rubber bands.

BTW, is the new track at the museum going to have a drag strip facility? I haven't seen any mention of one on the NCM site.

The motorsports complex, at the NCM, will eventually have a dragstrip, but the road course and autocross area will be some of the first elements completed.

Joe,

On the tour I was on I asked that specific question. The answer was no drags trip due to maintenance and a congenial relationship w Beech Bend.
Didn't make business sense I was told.

Then maybe the relationship has gotten better. At a recent board meeting, we did have a discussion about the "business sense" part of the equation, but I thought it was still going to be a go in the distant future. I do recall that it would be one of the last elements to go in. Maybe the hope is to solidify the relationship with Beech Bend. It doesn't make sense to have two dragstrips within five miles of each other.

You can never have enough dragstrips!
