Thanks, Phillip! Missed ya.
With the tail wind I'm sure you would have
posted your personal best. They say no
other event this year, so ..... 2015?
We need to see other Z's out there!

I believe the next such event is coming up June 21 & 22 - the WANNAGOFAST 1/2 MILE run in Monee, IL. There will be 8 or so ZR-1s running this year. Last year these ol' thoroughbreds did very well against all comers in the NA class.=D> Highest average for top 3 runs was Kevin Costello's 441 LT5/L65E at just over 159 mph!

Paul this is a standing stop/no rolling to 1 mile & some events to 1.5 mile, 1 car at a time, no side by side
Ted, I need to make it in 2015, because I am kicking myself for not going, just scared of breakage and a 7 hr ride home

Ah! No side by side, eh? I assumed it was, but considering the speeds attained, I can see why it might be wise NOT to.

Anyway, I've got to do a mile run - soon as I finish fixin' the stuff I broke my last time out:p So no need to explain your apprehension 'bout doing a run like that and driving home...believe me!

And, NICE run, Ted!

I have run several events with Mike Borders at Mojave, 1 & 1.5 mile, a few with Ted, and also my son sharing the Z, results are posted on site & 1 event @ Nellis AFB, They all were GREAT but limped the car home 7 hrs twice & then repairs, but that is all part of racing, especially with a old car. Events are safe with Rule book, Tech, Fire Dept, Helicopter, trained personal from Nascar at Start line etc

Hey Pete! I also can't wait to see you (all) in BG!
And since you are here I have another question for
you (I think I'm allowed to hi-jack my own thread!):
When I worked on my engine a few years ago, P & P,
headers, exhaust, PROM, etc. I went from about 345
RWHP to almost 400 RWHP, but torque stayed the
same, about 345. What gives? I figure more torque
would move my fat a** faster down the course.
