Is #51 the first vin for sale?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevrolet-Corvette-ZR-1-Corvette-ZR-1-1st-VIN-off-line-Signed-by-all-GM-execs-Museum-Quality-17k-/331191468406?forcerrptr=true&hash=item4d1c8cc176&item=331191468406&pt=US_Cars_Trucks
I thought there were a few earlier ones that went for sale before this.
Thoughts on this?

There are two different VIN's mentioned in the eBAy offering:
#0051 is mentioned but it may be 0137 that is actually offered!
The second should be unrelated as it's a '94 if the VIN actually passed the check digit check!
The '94 VN looks like at one time might have been one of Rob Kauffman's cars at RK

Why are there two different vin's shown?

My thoughts are the owner may have two cars one being a 90 and the other being a 94?

The ad seems very confusing. Different VIN's and different mileage.

Think power problem was power antenna.

1990 #19 was the first ZR-1 sold to the public.
#1 to #16 were all Engineering test units (RPO: YE8 and/or WD1). #17 was the "Engineering Lead Unit" and #18 was a "Chevrolet Advertising Vehicle".

Sumpin' weird here. Is it a 90 or 94? Twice he mentions it as a 94, plus it's got two vins.
Anybody take the time to read the year out of the vins?

Dave is correct, the #137 is the Admiral Blue '94 currently for sale at RK Motors. Also notice in the eBay description that they mention "8400 miles", which must have been cribbed from that Admiral car's description, as it currently has 8400 miles on the clock.
The red car must be #51. Wonder how much equity I have in the house...

Yeah, I read on a little further...under "Vehicle Info" he just copied and pasted everything from RK's website on the blue 94 #137. It even has the 94 price of the ZR-1 package.

wonder where these extremely early cars are. I would think any of these that come up for sale would advertise the early vin. Has anyone see any of these early cars for sale ever..... like # 50 and below???

It's an early car, but a long way from being the "first available to the public".
At 17.5K miles it's not exactly "fresh" either.
It's a beautiful car, but the current bid of $17,000.00 looks about right to me. I wouldn't pay much more than that for a "sweater and a hat". [-X
