Just thought I would post this here. Just painted. This is possibly the earliest 57 Fuelie in existence. They built 12 pilot line Fuelie's in 1957. This is the 4th one built. The whereabouts of the first three is unknown.

For those that do not know my profession, I restore mainly 53-62 Corvettes, specializing in 1953's. Hope you enjoy the picture.

When a new model or option based vehicle is produced, SOP's need to be written for the assembly line people. A Pilot Line is setup to document these processes. They will build 10-25 cars on the Pilot Line and then build the cars on the main assembly line.
