Any chance we could get in line for this tour at our BG event?

We could sneek in and I can lower you down by rope.

During the NCM Birthday Bash, the Board Members had dinner in the spire and were able to observe the sink hole up close. If the registry members are so inclined to want to view the sink hole up close, I might be able to work something out.

They will not lower anyone into the hole, but we might be able to get into the room and get up to the railing and be able to look down. It is pretty awesome to look down and see how much earth gave away and how far those cars fell.

See you next week. :handshak:

I reached out to Wendell Strode of the museum. He advised the sink hole area has been open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays since the Birthday Bash. I let him know we will find a place in the schedule and make an announcement for members of the Gathering to view the hole. We will have to coordinate with Bob Helman the facilities manager.

No need to sneak in and rapel into the hole, Roy. See you in a few days.

They won't be needed Dom, only pitures taken from the barricades, but trust me, you will get the full affect.

Can we tunnel over to the museum from your place Roy ?

Joe, I was going to do this for David so he could see for himself. However, The jury is still out on whether I would pull him up and out. Actually, you could just stand up in the hole and let him down.

Well, it's a real challenge but what the heck, why not! We would probably find another cave along the way.

Don't forget a webcam. SOMEone has to record your ECM/tuning discussion (still @ the coast here... ).

Yes, we toured the sinkhole today ... the sight was incredible and seeing the damaged Vettes on display was even more incredible.
