Yesterday I had a leak on my exhaust at the inlets to the resonator, both inlets cracked 3/4 way around. So I had the muffler shop cut it out & replace with 2 pieces of pipe. Now I have a question does it do any harm to run without the resonator or an X pipe? TIA

No harm. Probably sounds real good too.

I agree. No harm. I would drop in a x-pipe in its place.

no harm. Just more noise and extra drone.

You didn't say if it was a stock exhaust or not. Assuming it is, the resonance will increase but the flow will improve.
Consider getting that X pipe. It will improve flow even more, and possibly mellow the tone a bit.

x-pipe on the stock mufflers and 2.7" pipe is not bad- just a bit louder than stock

We are speaking about a Borla system, that Lorne has removed resonator, Car is definitly louder, would the X pipe bring any more power?
