I'm changing wheels on my Z and I would like to have some more rubber than the original low profiles (275/40, 315/35) which if I do my math right has a profile hight of 110 mm. My new wheels will be 9,5x17" and 11x17". But how high a tire is there room for? On the picture below it sure looks like the tires are much higher than 110 mm. Don't know what wheel size it is though.

Can anyone advise on this, please?

Peter

you can run a 335/30 (or 35 i'm not sure) 17 rear tire on the stock rime. the car you posted is fastlanes drag car. That car has been modded to hell and back so anything that is stuck under that car won't fit on yours. Why do you want to stick a taller, if I'm reading this correctly, tire on your car?

Kevin, no other reason than that I think it looks cool. (Plus it would give a softer ride.) Been to my dealer today and the subject is dead. The only tire awailable seems to be 335/35/17 rear and 275/40/17 front which I ordered (Michelin Pilot Sport PS2).

Sounds like as good of a reason as any. Enjoy the new tires

Certainly will! I'll get the wheels and tires in about 4 weeks. Winter is closing in here in Sweden so I'll spend the rest of this season burning out my old tires. Come spring my Z will role out on brand new wheels!
