This is right on time Jim, got serious cabin fever down here in VA!! I've got all my motor parts out for machining, so not even motor work right now for me. I don't have any car tasks but I'll be there to see my brothers and lend a hand :handshak:.

Talked to Frank today. Most likely I will be having my Z (minus the motor) flat bedded to Jim's on the 15th. You guys up to pushing it into Jim's garage for temporary storage? We will have to work out the logistics - park mine while work is being done on other Zs then maneuver mine onto the ramp.

No problem pal, we will get your Z anywhere it needs to go (that is unless I can get Nelson to take me with him, if so you're on your own....) looking forward to seeing everyone.

Your welcome to come. I'm taking my son with me. He will not be allowed to drive a ZR1 but they said he would drive a Z06.
Let me inow,

I just got back from the Maryland Home and Garden Show in Timonium. I had the great fortune to meet a new WAZOO member. Bob lives north of Baltimore and owns a Ruby Red 1993 ZR-1, plus other Corvettes and other collectible cars and trucks.
Bob said he will be attending the WMD on the 15th of March.
I hope everyone will come out and welcome him.

The WMD was a great success. We replaced the starter in Ed's ZR-1, replaced the fuel filter on two cars, installed a set of C-beam plates, replaced a rear hatch gasket and completed some other minor repairs and improvements. It was nice to meet Bob for the first time.
We adjourned to a local watering hole after the maintenance to say a proper good bye to Bert who is moving to Colorado. I think we talked him into shipping the family car and driving the ZR-1 across country.
Below are: (l to r) Yun, Darrin, Bert, Ed, Rich, David, Charlie, Bob, Jim. In the foreground is Charlie's beautiful Red 1992 ZR-1:

Yun, if you and Ed both can't remember, then it doesn't matter. Just find any part and exclaim: "I found it!"
Thanks go to Darrin and Rich for all the wrenching.
Nelson, It sounds like you are going to have a good time. Let us know how it goes.

Thank you WAZOO and especially Jim for hosting such a fun maintenance day. I really enjoyed the going away party and appreciate everyone's kind wishes and help getting my Z ready for the trip out to Evergreeen, Co on April 1st. Jim, thank you for the use of the lift, it was fun turning wrenches, but not so much fun futzing with the fuel filter.
I noticed a difference in hard full power shifts with the C-plates, as now the tail doesn't step out when the tires spin when going straight.
I am now convinced to drive west vs. shipping my Z. Jim you inspired me with all your cross continent jaunts.
I will miss all of you and the WAZOO camraderie. Please email me at: bertrankin@gmail.com when you are coming out to the Denver Area, and you will be our guests up in the mountains, just west of Denver. Jim has my cell number also...
Jim, I hope you will consider changing your trip route to stop in Evergreen, Co.
Oh, btw I GOT PULLED OVER1 MILE FROM MY HOUSE GOING 5 MPH UNDER THE SPEED POSTED :-/ ... Officer said I was driving too close to the white line - No, I am not kidding. That is the 11th time pulled over in Reisterstown in 3 years... Still, no tickets have stuck. No ZR-1's should ever come to Reisterstown unless they want to be harassed by the bored cops. That is it... I am outta here - Bye.

Hello Bert,
Have a safe move. You will like it out there with your Vette. When my kids were young we lived in Estes Park in the summer, had horses not cars.
Keep in touch.

Nelson,
Can you come to my garage on Thursday so we can replace your u-joints? We can have a mid-week, mini WMD. I've got someone else coming to work on a Z that day as well.
