Yesterday at the Scottsdale Pavalions. Bill parked next to his ZR-1 brothers. The interest level was fantastic with folks crawling all over the car. A 2 Year project almost completed with custom one of everything. For your viewing pleasure in Cyber Grey, vintage air and custom billet dash. Money was no object in this build. ECM was hidden in pocket in the firewall behind the engine. AC lines run into the body panels etc. Red gut interior. Simply a beautiful vett. GC

How does the air inlet separate from the TB extension?
Is it forced air feed? Just wondering about the 90' turn in front of the TB ext. ... Probably still gettin' a better flow that mine. Right now in face, a SNEEZE is better airflow than mine
Does it go through a ZF? Or M-21?

Yep also notice I tried to get a pic of the ECM pocket at the firewall. This car is fantastic.. Next time we see it we will get more detail in that area

The door alignment on these mid years Brett we were told is a bear to get aligned. Flush one end the other has a problem lots of seems and angles to finesse. Something we were sure you have had to deal with.

What number should we assign? 63 #0001 were my thoughts or #001 since it's a later engine

That's what I have done in the past, or he can get the Vin off the back of the motor(unless its a crate)

I'll have ask him Lee what he wants to do. He does want a plate and remarked on both mine and Phil's. As Phil and I came back from Barro's Pizza with his lovely wife Sonja a group of kids were just leaving both Phil's and my car. One of the kids said man I'd like to have one of these rare cars. Another kid chimed in how rare they here's three in a row.... We both had a good chuckle. GC

I have a buddy that has a 65 with an LT5 Lee did one with 1965 and the cars last 4 numbers of vin#
The pictures don't really give full justice to that car. The fit of the body, the detail work, and the technology that went in to it are incredible. The underneath is just as amazing too. There are so many things that you notice after looking at it for a while that you don't see until you think about them. He even was able to capture the sound of a mid year with sidepipes!

what a nice ride! the iconic 1963 split window coupe AND with an LT5!! what can be better!!!! maybe a Lingenfelter wide body with a 415 cube LT5 stroker or maybe a 1991 Callaway Speedster LT5 twin turbo at 750 Horse!! I will take any of those three.. please!

Beautiful car.
Years ago, I had the chance to really hammer a split window with an LT5 in it. Kevin Sack, a hardcore drag racer from my home town of Erie Pa. built it.
It was a gorgeous Riverside Red coupe with black interior, 67' Big Block hood with white spear, (I don't think the original hood will fit with an LT5 aboard), Polished plenum, and a 5 speed trans. It looked like a relatively stock split window, with BFG Radial T/A's on 63' style aluminum knock off wheels. The body was outstanding.
The motor was a stock 375hp unit, with headers, 3" stainless exhaust that exited the rear with 4-63' style outlets, (that looked way better than you would think). The frame and suspension were relatively stock 63' with modern shocks and grand sport HD springs up front.
We all love the LT5, and I think the 63' split window is a work of art. But, and it's a big BUT, that thing was scary, handling wise. I hope Bill get's his all sorted out before he gets frisky with it. Because I felt a lot safer after I got back in the seat of my ZR-1.
