I took my girls out to eat and as we are leaving a very elderly lady was crossing in front of us. Took her damn near 5 minutes. I told my kids that when daddy gets that old just shoot me. And my red head Megan says oh daddy! By the time you get that old there will be hologram things to help you. And I said you mean like hologram hospice? We all started laughing so hard I almost crashed into a light poll. :)

Too funny beautiful girl as well. Watch out shotgun dad she going to be a heart breaker. I had two boys way easier..... :-D You are so right and lucky Daryl. I asked my wife when is she ever going to give me a son. And of course she's an RN and says well you know that it's the males genetics that predetermine the sex of the child so I have nothing to do with it buddy lol! I said so are you saying that I have allot of estrogen in me? She says well I do have to admit the night I first met you I thought that you were gay. She said she figured what the hell! She'll go talk to the gay guy in the bar. Lol! I said gee, Thanks allot. I asked how long it took to figure out I wasn't gay? She said as soon as you opened your mouth and put your arm around my waist and pulled me in close. A night that forever altered my life for the better.
I guess I could always adopt a son. I always wanted a little man that I could teach how to work on cars and do father and son things together but it just wasn't in the cards for me. Having two daughters is so different and very special in it's own way. The top picture is Megan 13. And the bottom one is my first born Heather 15. Just couldn't imagine my life without them in it.:)

I know. It's going to be sad when it happens. My oldest Heather is the A+ student that takes all AP classes and starts high school next year. She told me that she was interested in the medical field specifically radiology oncology. I was stunned. I told her that I know one guy here in town that does that. Sanjay Mehta. He has his own practice. Century cancer centers in the medical center. I had mentioned it to Sanjay and he said that is awesome. He said when she is on summer vacation why don't you drop her off at the clinic and she can shadow me for a couple of days and see what we do? I said you'd really do that for me? He said absolutely. So I told Heather to not be shy and ask questions. Because this man is a world leading expert in Oncology. So she's very excited about getting the opportunity to spend time with Sanjay.:)

I even told her that if he is still practicing by the time she graduates from medical school that she might be able to intern under him.

Her walking across the stage to receive her induction. I cried like a baby I was so proud of her. Those are the truly great moments in life when your children achieve more than you did.
