Anybody know what can be the problem. I can hear the antenna servo working when I put on the radio, but the antenna stays down. (It worked properly until a couple of months ago)
Any hints on causes and cures?
TIA

Internal ribbon is broken.
Easy 1 hour fix.

Ok, thank's. Sounds good. Now - what and where is the internal ribbon?

On the ZR-1, there is no panel removal. You can reach up from the back and undo all the bolts to get the unit down. When I get home I'll get you the part numbers for just the mast replacement.

12512900 is the part number I have. Should be less than 30 bucks,

Thank's a lot. That's what I call swift help. So I need to replace the whole unit? The article doesn't seem to go any further than the headline.

To advance the article it's in the upper left area with "Continue" or has 6 pages or so.
No you do not have to replace the whole unit, but you need to pull it out and take it apart and clean the gears inside of any substance. The part number I gave you was just for the replacement mast and ribbon assembly.

Got it. Thank's. I'll look a litle closer next time.
