I need a favor..

What bolts are on the perimeter of the wheels? 12pt 6pt? any info on them?

Pictures will help too, I have 4 wheels one of which has different bolts. I am looking for 40 to match my other 3 or going to replace them all

Jeff

I'm 99% confident the shelby wheels used 12pt. Had a set a few years back and tried to find some pictures but no luck.

I think I have on partial set of new lug nuts and one extra used rear wheel used on their prototype if anyone is interested...

That is, once my household goods are out of storage in April!

Ron,

Let me know what you have when you dig it out in the spring..

I ended up buying a set of stainless bolts with nuts for all 4 wheels, figured they may as well all be the same.. these were on closeout as they are switching to polished stainless

How are your Wheel assembled?? Are the centers bolted to the barrels on the inside or outside?

OK.. so they are bolted to the back side of the barrel. with 275s I found leaving the front stock they fit ok..

for my 335 and 285 I have the centers bolted to the outside of the barrel. this way the 285 fits better to the fender and the 335 tucks under slightly. However I think i am running a 1/8" spacer in the back with the wheels this way.

Yeah those were avail when I bought mine. I planned on the 275 but they would not 'work' according to sales guy.. loading or something was wrong so I did 285

can anyone positivly confirm rear spacer size with running the 335 rear tire to keep it tucked in a bit?

Center on the outside of the barrel 335 no spacers no issues Might have to trim the plastic behind the tire very slightly

Fronts (measured from brake rotor face to outside lip of wheel)
Stock = 9cm
Shelby = 10cm
Diff = +10mm

Rear (measured same)
Stock = 14cm
Shelby = 15.9cm
Diff = +19mm

Wheels stick out too far so I tried a modification which LocoBob suggested.
I put the center sections on the outside instead of the inside of the wheel joining surface. Center section fits like a glove on either side...

Here are the results:
Fronts (measured from brake rotor face to outside lip of wheel)
Stock = 9cm
Shelby w/mod = 9.3cm
Diff = +3mm

Rear (measured same)
Stock = 14cm
Shelby w/mod = 13.5cm
Diff = -5mm

I added my 1/4 inch spacer to the back:
Stock = 14cm
Shelby w/mod + 1/4 inch spacer = 14.4cm
Diff = +4mm

yes it is coming back to me now. I was looking for a 3/16's spacer and settled on the 1/4" sorry for the miscommunication of an 1/8" spacer. I know I swapped the Lug stud for ones threaded to the end to accommodate the spacer
